Areas We Serve
Employees throughout California
Our office is in Santa Monica, and we represent employees throughout California.
That second part matters more than it used to. Most of what happens in an employment case — the intake call, gathering your documents, written discovery, even many depositions and hearings — now happens by phone, video, and email. You do not need to live near us, and for most of our clients, driving to our office is something they do rarely or never.
So the answer to “do you handle cases in my area?” is yes. We take cases anywhere in California. What actually determines where a case is filed is not where your lawyer sits — it’s where you worked, where your employer does business, and which court has jurisdiction.

The rest of California
We take cases throughout the state, not only in Southern California — the Central Coast, the Central Valley, Sacramento, the Bay Area, and Northern California included. If you worked in California, we can talk about your case.
That is worth saying plainly, because plenty of people assume a Santa Monica firm only handles Los Angeles matters. Where you personally live matters far less than where you worked and where your employer does business.
Remote and hybrid workers
This comes up constantly now, and there’s no simple rule. If you worked from home in one county for a company headquartered in another — or in another state — the question of which law applies and where a case can be filed genuinely depends on the details: where you performed the work, where the company operates, what your offer letter or handbook says, and whether you signed anything agreeing to a particular forum or to arbitration.
If that’s your situation, it’s worth a conversation rather than a guess. It’s also a reason not to assume you’re out of options because your employer is somewhere else.
Language
We can speak with you in Arabic or Farsi as well as English. If that would make the conversation easier, say so when you call and we’ll arrange it.
Federal court
Some employment cases end up in federal court rather than state court — often because a federal statute is involved, or because the employer moves the case there. Which court hears your case depends on where you worked and what claims are involved. It is not something you need to work out yourself.
How to reach us
You do not need to come to Santa Monica to talk to us. Consultations are free and confidential, and we can do them by phone or video.
We represent employees — never employers. If something happened at work and you’re not sure whether the law reaches it, that’s exactly the kind of question worth asking before a deadline passes.
